The Team - Specialised Medical & Rescue Trained

We pair the right medix for your event, by considering the risk, terrain & special needs. Our team consists of Basic - Intermediate Medics to Advanced Life Support Paramedics & Doctors. Amongst the ranks - our crew hold various rescue qualifications & experience in 'wilderness emergencies'

Not all medics are made equal...

Based on your events risk profile, we recommend medical staffing based on the qualification & experience. The BAA (Basic Ambulance Assistant) or BLS (Basic Life Support) is our entry level qualified medic with training in ambulance technology. Although a BLS Medic cannot give medication, establish IV lines - the BLS is proficient in initial A-B-C management & stabilisation - including trauma (bleeding, c-spine) & identifying medical emergencies (identifying a heart attack) and providing initial vitals monitoring. A senior ambulance medic - AEA (Ambulance Emergency Technician) or ILS (Intermediate Life Support) has additional skills & training & can establish IV lines (in managing dehydration, hypovolemia); administering basic medications (Nebulized drugs, Dextrose) & taking on the role as a senior & independant practitioner.

Paramedics trained in Advanced Life Support (ALS) provide ICU level skills by performing a wide range of invasive and life saving skills as well as administration of resus medications. For any event where pain medications is required (ex Morphine, Ketamine) or where transport to definitive care could be delayed - an ALS Paramedic would be recommended.
